Steven Franco
President / CEO
Steven Franco is founder and CEO of Worx, the space-as-a-service concept he created as a landlord’s solution to vacancies. Realizing revenues approximately two-times market rate, his flagship Beachworx certainly solved his own issues as a landlord.
His professional experience spans nearly 30 years in commercial real estate. He’s managed the acquisition, development, redevelopment, leasing, and management of commercial properties totaling several billion dollars in asset value and hundreds of millions in deal transactions. Steven is an expert in devising and implementing creative business strategies to maximize property values.
Steven holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Texas and a real estate broker’s license in Georgia and Florida. He is actively involved in his community, serving on the board of Walton County’s Habitat for Humanity; is a Trustee Member of One Okaloosa Economic Development Council; a co-founder of Destin Chamber of Commerce’s Economic Development Committee; an Advisory Board member of the Special Operator’s Transition Foundation, and is a Board of Directors Trustee Member of the Sea Shul congregation.
Melissa Fertitta
VP of Operations
Melissa Fertitta has nearly 20 years of experience in corporate human resources and organizational development. She understands the life cycle of business and her experience as a strategic partner helps businesses maximize value in the Worx concept.
Since joining Worx in 2021, she has designed creative marketing initiatives that improve Worx’s brand awareness and has developed strategic programming that supports entrepreneurs, small businesses, solopreneurs and employees of larger organizations.
On Worx’s behalf, Melissa has built strong partnerships with the Small Business Development Council, area chambers of commerce, numerous veterans’ entrepreneurship organizations and subject matter experts in our community. These partners produce topical workshops for our community on average twice per month. Her passion is supporting women entrepreneurs with the tools they need to achieve business success and life balance.
She holds a bachelor of art in Communication from Loyola University New Orleans and is a licensed Florida real estate agent. She volunteers with Habitat for Humanity and 30A Songwriters Festival.
